Matt Maddox is a native of Rosehill, Texas. Mr. Maddox is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received his B.B.A from the Mays School of Business.  He was an active member of the student government, writer for The Battalion, a leader in Student Bonfire, and Chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas A&M chapter.

Mr. Maddox received his J. D. from the University of Houston in 2007, where he was active in the Federalist Society and Aggie Lawyers Association.  He interned with the Thompson Law Firm in 2005, 2006, and 2007.  He also interned with the Texas First Court of Appeals under the supervision of Justice Evelyn Keyes in 2006, drafting briefs and performing substantive citation checks.

Mr. Maddox practices a wide-range of civil law, handling such matters as Will and estate plan drafting, probate and executor proceedings, divorce, child custody, child support, and consumer debt protection.

Mr. Maddox’s emerging practice includes conducting jury trial, bench hearings, deposition, mediation, and appeals.

Mr. Maddox currently serves as President of the Howdy Club, a professional networking and scholarship fundraising organization for former students of Texas A&M University, and is actively involved with Houston’s First Baptist Church.
